Our Code Of Ethics

  • Your pet companion's safety, health and well being is our primary objective and concern.

  • Your concerns and rules for your pet companion(s) will be adhered to without deviation, unless it puts your pet companion's safety, health and well being at risk.

  • No aggressive dogs will be included in our Daycare or Overnight Boarding services unless they've completed behavioral training and are deemed safe to participate with other dogs or our pack. We assess all dogs prior to engaging in any of our dog services.

  • Dogs with illness or contagious disease will not be permitted to participate in any of our services until they are fully recovered.

  • Leashes will be used in all situations where your pet companions safety may be at risk.

  • The "Pack Training" method is used and does not allow physical or mental abuse of your pet companion during training or at any time your pet companion is in our care.

  • We will not train a dog to be aggressive or make them do tasks that are beyond their desire or capability.

  • Your trust in us and our commitment to you and your pet companion is the core to the success of our business.  Seeing a happy dog and happy family is our goal.

Privacy Policy
By accessing or using any areas of this website you are bound by the terms and conditions set forth below. If you do not accept these terms and conditions, you should not access or use this website. We retain the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time by posting new terms and conditions on this page.
Our clients personal information submitted via Registration Forms from our website "Is Not" shared with any person or third party entity. Your information is retained with The Love of Dogs and is strictly used for your dog's safety.
Terms of Use
 

By "contracting" Katy or Glenn McTaggart or any member or employee of "The Love of Dogs" you agree to the following terms.

 

  • An on-line registration application form must be filled out and submitted before any services can be provided for you and your pet companion containing the following information. 

  • Your contact information, spouse/partner's contact information and/or an emergency contact person must be provided before participation in any and all of our services.

  • Your Veterinarian's contact information must be provided before participation in any and all of our services.

  • The owner certifies that their dog is: in good health, up to date on rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP vaccinations and is not currently sick or suffering from any contagious illnesses.  You must maintain your dog's flea, tick and heart worm program for the safety of your pet companion and the rest of the dogs in our pack. A copy of your pet companion's current medical history and vaccinations must be provided by your veterinarian if requested.

  • To  verify the proper preventative care is taken for his/her safety and health and the safety and health of those he/she may come in contact with.

  • The above information is  required on all our forms for service; Pack Training.

  • In the case of Pack Training, unless your dog has completed previous training with The Love of Dogs, the owner is presenting their dog as being free of threatening or aggressive behavior and certifying that the dog has not harmed any other dog or person.

  • In the event of an injury or other problem involving a dog, "The Love of Dogs" will attempt to contact the owner as soon as possible in order to discuss treatment of the dog and/or call your veterinarian.  The owner recognizes that the staff of "The Love of Dogs" must exercise their best judgement and discretion when dealing with medical situations on a timely basis. 

  • Leashes, collars, food and treats for your pet companion must be provided by the owner.  Leashes and collars for their safety and the food/treats provided is for their personal diets alone. We Do Not give food or treats to dogs other than what is specified by the owner.

  • You will be invoiced for payment of services at the time services are rendered.

  • Payment is due upon receiving your invoice and at time of services and can paid in person by cash or cheque or made electronically on-line. All prices on our website do not show the GST cost but is also required in the client payments.

 

Your contact information and any personal information concerning you or your pet companion will not be given out to the general public, institutions, businesses or any other entity.

 

Your pet companion is as precious and meaningful to us as they are to you and even though all precautions are taken for your pet companions safety, the unexpected can still happen and by submitting the Registration Form you are contracting for any services provided by "The Love of Dogs" and it's employees you also waive any fault, blame or legal recourse should your pet companion become sick, injured or deceased while in our care or the services of "The Love of Dogs".  The owner releases "The Love of Dogs" from all claims and financial responsibility of any kind.
