Terms and Conditions

By accessing or using any areas of this website you are bound by the terms and conditions set forth below. If you do not accept these terms and conditions, you should not access or use this website. We retain the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time by posting new terms and conditions on this page.

Code of ETHICS

Promoting Caring Relationships between Dogs and People

  1. Your pet companion's safety, health and well being is our primary objective and concern.
  2. Your concerns and rules for your pet companion(s) will be adhered to without deviation, unless it puts your pet companion's safety, health and well being at risk.
  3. No aggressive dogs will be included in our "Pack Walks" unless they've completed behavioral training and are deemed safe to participate with other dogs or our pack.
  4. Dogs with illness or contagious disease will not be permitted to participate in any of our services until fully recovered.
  5. Leashes will be used in all situations where your pet companions safety may be at risk.
  6. The "Positive Dog Training" and "Pack Training" method is used and does not allow physical or mental abuse of your pet companion during training or at any time your pet companion is in our care.
  7. We will not train a dog to be aggressive or make them do tasks that are beyond their desire or capability.
  8. Your trust in us and our commitment to you and your pet companion is the core to the success of our business.  Seeing a happy dog and happy family is our goal.

You will always see proven positive results or changes in your pet companion's behavior from our Pack Walks and training methods and with your continued practice and consistent reinforcement there will  always be ongoing improvement.
We are here to support you and your pet companion with advise, exercise, education and training during their lifetime.  


No dog will display 100% corrective or good behavior all the time.  Behaviors are learned  or instinctive and never forgotten, therefore don't expect that your pet companion will never display a bad behavior ever again after they've been trained .  Just like people, under the right situation, environment or circumstances a bad behavior can slip out unexpectedly. It doesn't mean your dog was not fully trained or that you failed because your pet companion wasn't listening to you, as it will happen from time to time.  The purpose of training and education is to reduce the unwanted behaviors to an acceptable social and moral level of living between dogs and people and to know what to do when a situation occurs.

Our Terms of Agreement
By "contracting" Glenn McTaggart or any member or employee of "The Love of Dogs" you agree to the following terms.
  1. An on-line entrance application form must be filled out and submitted before any services can be provided for you and your pet companion containing the following information.
    1. Your contact information, spouse/partner's contact information and/or an emergency contact person must be provided before participation in any and all of our services.
    2. Your Veterinarian's contact information must be provided before participation in any and all of our services.
    3. The owner certifies that their dog is: in good health, up to date on rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP vaccinations and is not currently sick.  
    4. You must maintain your dog's flea, tick and heart worm program for the safety of your pet companion and the rest of the dogs in our pack
      • A copy of your pet companion's current medical history and vaccinations must be provided. To  verify the proper preventative care is taken for his/her safety and health and the safety and health of those he/she may come in contact with.
    1. The above information is  required on all our forms for service; Dog Training, Pack Walks and Pet/House Sitting.
    2. Dog training forms will require some back ground information on your pet companion, their living arrangements and your expectations of training.
    3. Pack Walking forms will require requested days and times for your pet companion's "Pack Walks" plus additional care information such as feeding or medication administration.
    4. When requesting "Pet/House Sitting" services, your departure and arrival information must be provided and adhered to so that your pet companion's care can be properly scheduled and safely maintained.
      • Your departure time is necessary so that your pet companion is not left home alone for an extended period of time without care after (you) leave
      • Your arrival time is necessary so that your pet companion is not left home alone for an extended period of time without care after (we) leave and
      • if for any reason you're going to be delayed, it's very important to contact "The Love of Dogs" as soon as possible so that we can maintain your pet companions care and safety until you arrive home.
  2. In the case of Pack Walks or Pet/House Sitting Services, the owner recognizes that the staff at "The Love of Dogs" has agreed to accept their dog for care based upon the information provided by the owner. The owner is presenting their dog as being free of threatening or aggressive behavior and certifying that the dog has not harmed any other dog or person.
  3. In the event of an injury or other problem involving a dog, "The Love of Dogs" will attempt to contact the owner as soon as possible in order to discuss treatment of the dog and/or call your veterinarian.  The owner recognizes that the staff of "The Love of Dogs" must exercise their best judgement and discretion when dealing with medical situations on a timely basis. 
  4. Leashes, collars, food and treats for your pet companion must be provided by the owner.  Leashes and collars for their safety and the food/treats provided is for their diet alone. Keys for your residence may/will be required or other means of access to allow the pick up and drop off of your pet companion for their "Pack Walks" and  keys will be required for "Pet/House Sitting services.
  5. You will be invoiced for payment of services after the services have been rendered.
  6. Regular clients are invoiced at the end of each month of services.
  7. Payment is due upon receiving your invoice and can be made electronically on-line.
  8. Any information regarding the security and operation of your home (mail pick up, garbage, plant watering, etc.) must be discussed and confirmed prior to you leaving "The Love of Dogs" in the care and security of your home and property.

Your contact information and any information concerning you or your pet companion will not be given out to the general public, institutions, businesses or any other entity.

Your pet companion is as precious and meaningful to us as they are to you and even though all precautions are taken for your pet companions safety, the unexpected can still happen and by submitting the entrance/application forms as contract for any services provided by "The Love of Dogs" and it's employees you also waive any fault, blame or legal recourse should your pet companion become sick, injured or deceased while in our care or the services of "The Love of Dogs".  The owner releases "The Love of Dogs" from all claims and financial responsibility of any kind.

Unless permission is given in writing by Glenn McTaggart CEO of The Love of Dogs and all person's whose dogs are displayed in the photograph requested and pays royalty fees to The Love of Dogs for the use of our pictures or photographs.
